Essential Travel Documents
We strongly recommend having a valid passport for everyone in your party. If you need to renew or apply for a new passport, we suggest expediting the process before your trip to Mexico. In special situations, with approval from your patient coordinator, alternative identification options may be used, such as:
- Passport Card
- REAL ID or Enhanced
- Driver’s License Valid Driver’s License and Original U.S. Birth Certificate (no copies). Having your Social Security card and a recent utility or phone bill matching your ID can make the process smoother.
What to Pack for Your Trip
Travel Essentials: Pack light and organized. Label electronics like laptops and tablets with your name. Both the hotel and hospital provide U.S.-standard outlets and free Wi-Fi. Consider packing a soft nightshirt, a comfortable sports bra, and any medications in their original prescription bottles. You won’t need to bring food or beverages, as you can easily purchase what you need upon arrival.
